Info Post

America was founded upon the principles of hard work.  It is quickly losing these principles.  This is the first generation growing up expecting "the government" to support them.  They are being taught in universities that big government is the solution to all their problems.

All those riots and burning in Greece, those are the end result of an entitlement mentality.  "If you don't give us what we want, we will riot and burn things down.  We deserve free education, food, health care, etc.!"  I predict those riots will be coming to America.

Just this past summer, I was with a young woman in her early 20s who was bemoaning the fact of having to pay a deductible of $25 to go see the chiropractor.  She expects other people to pay her bill!

In past generations, people saw it as a bad thing to take from others what they had not worked hard for.  Becoming dependent upon getting money for not working is addictive and destroying.  We were meant to work hard for our money.

This generation no longer believes that.  They believe other people should pay for them.  This is a dangerous road America is on.  We have lost our Judeo-Christian roots that once made us the greatest nation this world has ever witnessed.  We are spiraling downward as we go farther and farther away from the biblical truths that this nation was founded upon.

Teach your children to work hard.  Teach them to earn their own money and not expect hand outs.  Teach them to help around the house at a very young age. Don't let them sit around all day entertaining themselves, expecting to be served.

 "The government" is not some anonymous institution.  It consists of all the working Americans that work hard for their money {now only 50% of Americans} and know how to spend their money a lot better than some big, impersonal monster that government is becoming, taking away more and more of our individual freedoms.

In all labor there is profit but the talk of the lips tends only to poverty.
Proverbs 14:23

The way of the slothful man is as a hedge of thorns;
but the way of the righteous is made plain.
Proverbs 19:15

Slothfulness casts into a deep sleep;
and an idle soul shall suffer hunger.
Proverbs 19:15
