Info Post

Teddy Roosevelt  {a well-loved US President from 1901-1909} understood that there is a proper place, before God, for the application of raw force in a sinful, fallen world.  He understood that when those who have been given authority by God refuse to apply force appropriately when it is needed, but seek rather to conciliate those who are bent on evil, then evil prospers while good people are trampled down.  His motto was to "speak  softly and carry a big stick." {Hermann Hagedorn}

We need a strong military.  America has used its military for good.  When it sees evil, it goes after it.  Have they failed sometimes?  Sure, because they aren't perfect but we are the biggest kid on the block.  We need to deal swiftly with evil or evil will take over.

Many Christians don't believe this is the way of God.  Jesus used physical force against those selling things in the temple.  He chewed out the hypocritical Pharisees.  Read Revelation.  Jesus comes back on a white horse ready to do war with His enemies.  The New Testament tells us that government's job is to deal swiftly with evil.

Our government's main job should be to protect us.  Our military has done a great job doing that.  Yes it is expensive but it has resulted in the most amazing society that has ever existed.  Because of America's military might, many countries live in peace.  Many countries who speak negatively of America are able to live in peace and prosperity because they know America will come to their aid if they need help against rogue nations.

We need to be spending money on protecting our society through the military, policemen, fire fighters, etc. rather than all the silly stuff our government spends money on like cash for clunkers, more paperwork and bureaucracy in education, allowing people to stay on unemployment for 99 weeks, etc.  So pray for those who protect us.  I praise God for them and so should you.

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities.  For there is no power but of God:  the powers that be are ordained of God...for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that does evil.
Romans 131,4

P.S.  Dennis Prager has come out with a new book, Still The Best Hope.  I learn so much about political issues from him.  If you want to read conservative values stated clearly and convincingly, I encourage you to buy this book!
