Dr. Oz was on The View recently and he talked about the whooping cough vaccination. He thinks it is very important for children to get it. Joy Behar {one of the hosts} said that she thought the government should force parents to vaccinate their children. Fortunately, Dr. Oz said that was a very bad idea because it would just force people to go underground. He thinks educating them is the best way.
Joy is a left-leaning liberal. The fact that she wants government to force this upon us is disconcerting. As government gets bigger and more powerful, it tends to take away the freedoms and rights of the people. Leftists seem to enjoy government having a lot of control and telling people how to live their lives.
I do predict our government will get bigger and more powerful. Too many people in our country want a big government to take care of them, ie. housing, food, education, health care, etc. There was one time in our country people didn't want to accept anything from anybody that they had not worked hard for. Now more and more people feel entitled to get many things for free.
The problem is nothing is free. It will eventually destroy our country with the huge mountain of debt that is accumulating but we must not fear. This isn't our home and God is still on His throne. Continue loving and serving those God puts in your path and praise Him for all that He has done and will continue to do.
We must remember that our hope is not to be found on this earth but on the solid Rock...on Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand...So as we see our earthly freedoms taken away, we must remember that true freedom is only found in Christ.
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
