Info Post

Many Christians have decided they can't speak against homosexual marriage because marriage in the Church is so abysmal.  They feel we have no right since we aren't doing any better in the marriage department than anyone else.

I think this is terrible reasoning.  I even saw that there is a billboard of Rush Limbaugh proclaiming how destructive homosexual marriage will be and wondering what his four other wives would say about it.  I have no idea where Rush is in regards to his faith but I still think it is okay for him to speak out what is right even if he hasn't done a good job in the marriage department.  He still understands that marriage should be between a man and a woman.

As Christians, we are called to hate what God hates.  God ordained marriage and He ordained it to be between a man and a woman.  We need to be speaking out in defense of this, not hiding behind a cloak of compromise and tolerance.

Legalizing homosexual marriage is a slippery slope.  What is to stop a man from marrying five wives now or a brother marrying a brother?  If the definition of marriage becomes "if two people love each other" than what is to stop anyone from marrying anything?  If the church and its people can't stand up and defend marriage, who can?  Society is simply making a mockery of marriage.  Marriage is the foundation of a healthy society.

Yes, we are called to love the homosexual.  We are called to minister and serve them, but we are not called to support their right to marriage.  Yes, we sin and some will say he who is without sin, cast the first stone.  This doesn't mean we are to stop teaching Truth and God's ways to a dark and decaying society.

My purpose in this blog is to strengthen marriages and families.   Marriage, by definition, has been between a man and a woman since time began in every civilization.  Keep speaking Truth even when it gets difficult.  Don't compromise because it "feels" better.  Don't ever base your convictions on emotions or feelings, but on God's Truth.

Preach the word;  be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine.  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned to fables.
2 Timothy 4:2-4
